Of course it's bad. Teens aren't usually mentally mature enough to handle raising a child. It also makes it much harder for the parent to go to school (high school OR college) because they are taking care of a baby. Being a teen parent is having a child WHILE you're a child, and a bad idea.

It doesn't really matter what age you are.
Pregnancy it niether good or bad. At any age.
What makes it SEEM good or bad is the situation around the person and potential newborn. Early age often is a hard time to do it because the stuff like money, college, career, and marriage have maybe not been attained yet, which makes the process harder.
How do you know you're not pregnant, BTW.

teen pregnancy is becoming the new thing... so many young girls are getting pregnant without realizing the responsibilities that arise afterwards... please... please... wait until you're ABSOLUTELY ready. i frown upon teen pregnancy. just wait.

Well I got pregnant at 18, some people was rude, they would look at me weird when walking alone (with no husband next to me, but I was married). After finding out I was pregnant, I moved to another high school (to a continuation school/adult school to finish faster.. I was in the second semester of 12th grade) .. well I was waiting for the train on my way to school and this guy come to me and asks me if I was pregnant and well I said yes and he started laughing. I'm not against teen pregnancy, it's personal choice, I don't see a pregnant teenage girl.. its a woman pregnant..

i dont think its necessarily bad for teens to be pregnant, cauz we all make mistakes, but if they get an abortion that is HORRIBLE!
but about the pregnancy, i think that of course the world is going to look down on them, but they need to be strong, and dont let people discourage them.
thats about all i can say.

"its dumb
it shows how dumb you are
makes you look like a trashy slut
yea not a good thing"
allright. that guy was an asshole, first of all.
pregnancy at a young age doesn't automatically mean you're dumb OR a slut. because people get pregnant on accident at later stages in life and don't plan on it either.
you can become pregnant the first time you have sex, so that 'trashy slut' thing is so irrelevant.
ANYWAYS, my opinion is that even if you feel you are ready for a child at a young age, it would obviously be a better turnout to not become pregnant, as you could miss some potentially great opportunities in life.
but teenagers are having sex, it's a fact, and so obviously some of them are going to become pregnant.
and then it just comes down to whatever choice they make concerning the pregnancy (keep the child, adoption, abortion) and that goes through, the consequences for every choice inevitably occurring.
People need to stop freaking out about teen pregnancy so much and put more money towards things like free birth control.
(You'd THINK that would be obvious.)
