hmm,no it doesnt make sense.
twins?unlikely but possible
or you may have a condition of a "double womb" so you can get pregnate twice.
how do you know your ten weeks?

Good question for your ob/gyn. The doctor could be wrong with the timing or perhaps it was a twin.

Since the dating is done off the date of your last period, it throws the actual date off by a week or two. Think of it this way: If you miscarried 12 Jan, to your body, that was day 1 of your menstrual cycle. You would have then ovulated approximately 12-16 days later (depending on your body). If you were engaging in unprotected sexual intercourse at that time, you could have conceived (and apparently did). Because the dating the doctors do is normally based off the period date and not the actual date of conception, the ultrasound dating is generally given approximately the same. Since most women who had their first day of their last period on day x and are 10 weeks pregnant have a baby approximately x number of centimeters, they use that measurement as an accuracy meter when the woman isn't sure exactly what day her last period is (as in your case). It doesn't mean you were actually pregnant that day--it's just how they figure out the dates. Since the 40 week due date is only approximate anyway and they pretty much consider you full term any time after 36 weeks, it's not that big of an issue for them--your due date is just a ball park figure anyway since the baby's coming when it wants to. If you had been pregnant with twins, your baby would be measuring much larger, depending on how far along you were with your pregnancy when you lost it. My condolences to you on your miscarriage--that's a really difficult thing to go through. Congratulations on your new pregnancy too!
Hope this helped!

My best friend was once pregnant and had a miscarriage, a few weeks later she found out she was still pregnant. She WAS carrying twins, she lost one and the other survived. She carried the baby full term he is now a 5 year old healthy boy.
