I'm currently just over 9 weeks pregnant and I have had some spotting. Here's how it's gone:
Last monday (nearly two weeks ago) - had a bit of pink discharge, 3 times within one day. It was only a little and when I wiped.
Last Friday - had two tiny dots of red first thing in the morning, then nothing (only once).
This Friday - had a bit of pink discharge first thing in the morning, then nothing (only once).
So, my question is this...why does it keep occasionally appearing? What is causing this? I've got an early scan on Monday (will be 10 weeks) and so nervous at what they will find. Have had a miscarriage at 9 weeks so feeling concerned about this.
Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Have you called your dr?
I had brown spotting at weeks 6 that lasted 2 weeks off & on...it was VERY scary...but they did an internal ultrasound & everything was fine.
They said it was residual blood & there was nothing to worry about.
I'd ask your doc. to do an ultrasound if you're concerned.

Its called implantation bleeding and its totally normal. If you are truly concerned you should call your OB and ask them.

I had spotting that was due to placenta previa. In my case it was marginal, meaning it was very low and to the edge of the cervix. Having sex would irritate it and cause minor spotting. The doctor put me on pelvic rest and in 4 weeks the placenta moved up.

its more than likely Implantation bleeding. I bled what I thought was not a good amount with my first pregnancy went to the dcts and everything was fine. this time around it was just a small amount and only lasted a few days.

I spotted with both of my boys at around 9 to 10 weeks. By spotting I mean barely pink, no red. This is very normal. You may have your progesterone checked. Sometimes hormone imbalances can cause this. I was on progesterone therapy with my first son, but not the second.

I also had spotting in my first trimester, scared me to death! I called the doctor immediately and they put me on progesterone suppositories. The doc said sometimes spotting is normal because the lower part of your uterus doesn't realize that it's pregnant and will begin to shed itself. But the progesterone helps to "keep" the pregnancy. Good luck!

I think you and the baby are o.k this happens allot in the First-tri. But with bleeding of any kind you should always see a doctor and keep your doctor updated on any new progress. Because sometimes it could be a bad sign. Your best bet is to always see a doctor and take care of you body. .

I started bleeding pretty heavily at week 8 I am now at 11 weeks and still pregnant. bleeding is common in the first trimester especially during the first month or so when implantation is occuring in the utereus.
Hope everything goes great for you :) Good luck!!!
It's very common to have this in early stages of pregnancy,i had the same prob, its also very scarty.I f you phone your local materinty unit, they can sort out an early pregnancy scan.I did this they scanned me the next day,all was fine.So im really sure you'll be ok.
