Where do you stand with abortion?

I think abortion is wrong. Actually, I KNOW it is wrong. Abortion=taking the life of a human being. I don't mean to sound harsh, but if you have an abortion. You are a murderer! If, you had an abortion and are sorry, I understand. I'm not saying I will shun you or anything. I judt don't understand how someone could take the life of a poor precious INNOCENT child. It was YOUR or someone elses mistake! If you area Christian, God is the giver of life. And he, only he can take that away.

I'm one of those people that are "on the fence" about it.

Abortion is killing a potential child in my opinion. Nature happens and its sad when people miscarry or have an ectopic pregnancy that needs to be terminated, but choosing to kill the baby "just because" is terrible for lack of a better word.

However, I still believe that its a choice that a pregnant woman has the right to make. It doesn't mean I like it and that I agree with their decision, but its their decision to make. They have to deal with their choice. Not me. They'll have to answer for it someday. All I can do is offer support and information about their other options. If they still choose to do it, then at least I know I did what I could.

One thing that does infuriate me though are people who use abortion as a form of birth control. I'm usually good about holding my tongue, but I knew a girl that was like that and she got an ear full when I realized what she was doing.

but i do believe that abortion is very WRONG.
i'll admit, in the cases of rape, or if it could kill the mother, then it crosses the border from murder to necessary.

ok. i dont agree with a lot of what you say.
BUT -

im pro-choice, this doesnt mean to use abortion as a form of birth control. Once is a mistake.. and if you do it early than i think its forgiveable...

I also dont think that it should be done after the first month or two. It makes me sick when i hear about children being aborted at 6 or so months... that is now a living beating heart...

I dont think god has anything to do with it. I think its all about morality.

And i would honestly rather a lot of these degenerate mothers abort the babies that have crack and heroin addicted babies who dont stand a chance in life...

Also - although i know people agree with rape victims being able to abort its sort of a double standard...

One of my best friends is a product of rape, and hes the most wonderful person i know

Although I would love to hear people explain how embryos that were created as a result of rape or incest are any less &quot;innocent&quot; than embryos created as a result of consensual sex, since it's apparently okay with many people to abort THOSE embryos, but not the ones that were created because of faulty birth control (or lack of).

i'm definitely against abortion. for all the reasons you listed and i'm catholic.

also, it seems like kids these days can go have sex, and if they get pregnant just go get an abortion. it's like there is no meaning for sex anymore, and kids are younger and younger these days having sex and getting pregnant.

it seems abortion is saying there are no consequences for your actions - and I DONT AGREE WITH THAT!

I do think abortion is wrong, but i think if people have a REALLY good reason, then it's ok. I'm not saying that murder is ok, but certain situations are not so easy to just say, &quot;that's wrong, you can't do it.&quot;

Ex. if a girl was raped and she becamed pregnant. I think rape victims should be allowed to have abortions.

If it's because you don't have the money, give the baby up for adoption in an open adoption. If you don't want the baby, give it up in a closed adoption.

i think it's wrong, but i think there should be an exception for rape and incest.
just think about it. this girl got raped by her dad, and he got sent to jail. then people judge her and think that abortion is wrong, so she keep the child. then all of these problems make her sick -physically and mentally, then the child born with not so good condition (bcos of incest and the mom wasnt healthy either) then the child gotta live this life with that? is that what you think is 'right'?
in that cas, i think abortion is going to be the best thing to do. you were right, the child is innocent, thats why he/she is better stay *happy in heaven* then live a difficult life like that.. (with not healthy body and mentally sick mom and dad-grandad in jail etc etc)..
so it depends on the situation..

I used to be against it, but anymore I think if someone has a valid reason to get an abortion it should be allowed.
I myself however would never get an abortion, I couldn't stand the guild and remorse.

I'm pro-choice. It is our bodies an our decision. I don't think abortion should be used as birth control, if you were stupid and had unprotected sex assuming it wouldn't happen to you, then deal with it and give the child up, but especially in cases of rape or cases where the mother's life is in danger, then I believe that it is the woman's choice to make.

And before people immediately give me thumbs down, I'm 16 and I have a 7 week old daughter that I didn't abort. I made the choice not to abort her. Being pro-choice does not equal pro-abortion.

Pro choice. It's a woman's body, and her right to choose what is right and wrong for her, no one elses. What makes you think that you have the right to tell me what I should and shouldn't do?

Being pro choice doesn't mean I am pro abortion either. It means I believe that abortions are a viable option when it is not possible for that child to have a fair go at life, whether it is being brought into a world with multiple diseases or the mother and child have a high chance of dying during birth. I believe a termination would be my choice over being raised in an abusive family.

I think it is wrong. Some people see it as a method of birth control. But in the exception of the pregnancy putting the mother in danger or she was raped.

There are adoption and if people don't want their babies, then they can give it up to adoption or give it to someone else.

I mean, God gave you a baby but you don't want it and you destroys the baby.
